I think having leaderboards has a very profound impact on ruining a generation of kids. Children especially have this biological drive to master things. So children are wired that if you give them a target, they will run for it. And So what we're starting to see is we take something that is fun, some basic level of addictive like a video game, and then we layer on the leaderboard on top. Literally when I was failing out of college, I cracked the top 100 NA ladder in Warcraft three. I was skipping Spanish class and working on my build order. That's what I was spending my energy in. You know, people who have sunk thousands of hours into a video game and for what? To be on a leaderboard. The opportunity cost of that time is like astronomical. You know, Malcolm Gladwell says you need 10,000 hours to become an expert in something and he looks at people like Olympic athletes. Med school, by the way, is about 10,000 hours. And so you'll have.Drop 2000 hours, 5000 hours, 10,000 hours in 10,000 hours in Fortnite, like that amount of investment, you could literally be a medical doctor. And the other thing that we're doing is we're training children's brains to only put in effort if they get dopamine in return. So what we're literally doing is while they're investing this energy over here, not only is there an opportunity cost, we are actually crippling their ability to study. And then we see another like sinister kind of psychological thing start to happen, which is as people start to fail in life, they wanna be good at something. In that game is like losing life. It's like losing the game is the way to win life.
